  Wow - what a disappointment! We used to love this restaurant and would bring our family from Toronto to Waterloo for a special luncheon there once a year when visiting my Step-Son. Everyone loved the restaurant, the previous owner was so nice and always greeted us as if we were old friends. We showed up this past Sunday looking forward to our meal and found the place was under new management. We're a friendly bunch, so although disappointed to not be able to visit with the previous owner, we were prepared for at least pleasant service and a good meal. The food was still pretty good, although the tea was luke warm and they finally brought the pitcher of water we requested but not until the end of our meal. The vibe was so negative. The owner appeared miserable to be quite honest - and very impatient. It was kind of weird, he just seemed to take one look at our party of 8 and seemed uninterested in showing us any courtesy. I normally wouldn't say this but I sure hope it wasn't a racial thing, as we are a mixed race family. Perhaps he is abrupt and terse with other patrons?? He came up to take our order and demanded that I just hand over the napkin I had been writing our dish choice on. When I paused to quickly jot down a quick quantity notation, he just walked away, while our table of 8 just looked at each other in confusion. The only time he was even remotely friendly was when my husband paid the bill. Needless to say, we won't be back again. Hope the previous owner is enjoying his retirement - he was great!!

  Reasonably quick service, food was decent with average prices. My lunch special came to $10.40 with a $0.50 charge for use of credit card.

  I bought the General Tso Dinner special for takeout, (General Tso's chicken, steamed rice, hot & sour soup, and a vegetable spring roll). The General Tso's chicken itself was actually the best I can recall having thus far. The breading on the chicken was just thick enough and tasted amazing, especially with the sauce, which was fairly mild, so the spice didn't overtake the flavor of the dish, which I really liked. The rice, soup, and spring roll were all about what I would expect from a standard Chinese restaurant.
  
  The restaurant itself looks like a complete hole in the wall, and from the outside is an easy place to decide to skip, but don't let that appearance discourage you. The inside of the restaurant, is just a fairly sized room with no front counter or anything of the sort, and while it doesn't look like much, it feels very cozy, and there are several large round tables that can hold 8 or so people for groups, which I quite liked.
  
  Overall, I was delightfully surprised, and I will surely be back to try some other dishes.

  took a while to confirm my order, but it was because of communication issues. got the food delivered…delivery guy was nice as heck and the food was packed well….best spring roll ever…I'm a spring roll person and some spring rolls suck…not these they're awesome. chicken wings and chicken balls are pretty straightforward items and they did it all rlly well. thanks :) good experience.
